Insight: Google+ Will Shutdown From 9th April

Google+ once considered as a competitor for Facebook and other social media giant like Twitter is now heading to the deadpool from 9th April. Google has already decided to kill Google+.

This news is probably a sad news for blogger like us. We are literally gonna miss it as Google+ is one of the major source of traffic for us along with one of the prominent place to gain good back-links.

Starting from Monday (4th Feb), the options to create profiles, communities, pages and events will be disabled. At the same time, Google+ will cease to integrate with Blogger so you’ll have to set up your Google account for direct access to Blogger if you want to leave comments.

From7th March, third-party sites will also lose their ability to use Google+ as a comment login.

Google+ sign-in buttons will go next. The exact date is unclear, but it’ll be within weeks. In some cases, Google login buttons will automatically replace the G+ ones.

It’s final closing will begin from 6th Feb as the options to create profiles, communities, pages and events will be disabled on Google+. Google+ integration with Blogger will also come to the end.
Third party apps or sites won’t be able to use Google+ as a comment login from 7th March. This process will slowly kill Google+ sign-in buttons as Google login buttons will replace it.
Finally, Google will close Google+ in 9th April, 2019. You will loose all of your content as Google will delete it.
One of the interesting part of this closure is that Google+ will remain in service as a platform for G Suite.
