If you don’t prefer  color emoji and want to uninstall color emoji from your Ubuntu system then run the following command. You need to open your  ‘Terminal’ and enter the following command:

 

sudo apt remove fonts-noto-color-emoji

Most important thing is that you can’t remove emoji completely from your system. That means, your system now will have black-and-white emoji menu. it’s like rolling back to black and white from color emoji.
