What causes this issues?

There are various causes that can lead your wordpress to this error. One of them is permission problem with “wp-content” directory.


Login to your hosting cPanel and browse to wp-content directory through File Manager. Right-click on it and then check the permission is set to 755 or not. If not then change it to 755 right now.

You can use FTP software to access your files and change the permission accordingly.

Another issues can be a storage quota of your hosting. Yes, it happens when you exceeded the storage quota of your hosting account.


You can check it through your  cpanel and make sure you have  enough space available. It’s good to have more space in your pocket if you are running a wordpress blogging websites or magazine or regulary updating portals.

Another issues can be a “Temporary Directory”.


Your wordpress might throw you a “Upload:Failed To Write File To Disk” error message if your temporary directory is full. Meanwhile, you need to contact your webhost to clear this directory.
